10/22/2023 at 11:38 PM in reply to: Release 8.8p1 disables RSA signatures using the SHA-1 hash algorithm by default #3834Thijs EilanderKeymasterI discontinue the building of OpenSSH, it does not really fit the scope of my project as I don’t need anything changed from the stock OpenSSH. And since a while it doesn’t play nice with systemd. It’s a load of work to maintain openssh while I don’t need changes.

Thijs EilanderKeymasterdone, the change is visible in next build, probably right after I fixed pagespeed
Thijs EilanderKeymasterSure, updated now. Sorry for the delay, I need to work on the monitoring someday.

Thijs EilanderKeymasterHi Dan,
Thanks for reminding me, for some reason it won’t build anymore on Launchpad while it builds fine on my environment. I will investigate.
Thijs EilanderKeymasterOk, due to some git error I had some old files laying around, rebuilding now. hopefully its fixed
Thijs EilanderKeymasterHmmm, you’re probably upgrading from an old version, I moved all naxsi related stuff to the naxsi package a while back.
You can probably uninstall nginx-common and reinstall it
Thijs EilanderKeymasterFixed the current branche for good this time, I have it in production now

If you want to login as root, you need to change /etc/ssh/sshd_config.d/20-security.conf
07/14/2022 at 1:19 PM in reply to: Release 8.8p1 disables RSA signatures using the SHA-1 hash algorithm by default #1222Thijs EilanderKeymasterIf it is possible create a new ssh key without rsa/rsa1, it’s unsafe to use.
Or add PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms +ssh-rsa and don’t overwrite the config on upgradeI see debian has a recent 9.0 package in bookwork/sid, I’ll import that one soon and see how they handle this problem.
